Bonded Internet Solutions - Higher-Speed Networking
Bonded Internet Service Technology uses bonding to split all TCP/IP sessions and distribute their data packets across multiple connections, and recombines them in the correct sequence at the service provider for delivery on to the Internet.
Bonding
vs
Load Balancing
  • User sessions are as fast as all the connections combined.

  • No Session Loss Fail-Over when a connection fails.

  • Makes use of all the connections and their bandwidth all of the time.

  • Provides a unified IP address for all the connections combined.

  • Does not require DNS changes if connections(s) fail.

  • Requires ISP or Corporate Concentrator Equipment.
  • A user session is only as fast as one of the connections.

  • Sessions are lost when a connection fails.

  • Typically has the backup connection(s) in standby for use only when primary connections fail.

  • Uses different IP addresses for each connection.

  • Requires DNS changes for all hosted applications when connections fail-over.

  • May require special DNS or Protocol equipment and configuration at the ISP or Corporate side.
Solution Features

Transparent to users and applications.

The technology does not interfere with any Voice, Video, or Data communications.

Increased Bandwidth

Achieves the aggregate of all the connections combined for Higher-Speed throughput.

ADSL Bonding Example:
2 x(3.0Mbps x 768Kbps) ASDL will achieve a bonded throughput of up to:
- 6.0Mbps downloads x 1.5Mbps uploads
